Cause and effect
You will have to transition to show relationships between factors:

• So / Therefore / Hence
• Consequently / As a result
• This is significant / important because
• Elaborate – the addition of more detail
• Besides
• What’s more / In addition / Additionally / Moreover / Furthermore / Also

Here are some examples:

We have not reached our goals this month, therefore we need to work harder next week.
I have missed a lot of news as a result of not being at work all last week
She missed her bus, consequently she was late to work.
This is significant because it shows how far we’ve come.
To elaborate on this point, I will show you some results from our last survey.
Besides a good sales record, the company also ranks high in customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, I would like to add that we’re open 7 days a week.
