Language for transitions
Here are some sentences you can use when moving on to another speaker, slide or topic.
Before you move on to the next person or topic, briefly summarise what you covered in your section:
So that was a brief introduction on what health anxiety is and how it can affect somebody.
Before we move on I’d just like to remind you the takeaway/key point to remember, which is the rising cost of our raw materials.
Transition to another person:
Introduce the next speaker in the team and explain what they will discuss:
Now Gayle will talk about the prevalence of health anxiety.
Then end by looking at the next speaker, gesturing towards them and saying their name:
Gayle.
The next speaker should acknowledge this with a quick:
Thank you Simon.
Transition to a visual aid:

You may have to mention something you’ve already spoken about because there may have been a break or you want to stress a point.
