Tips to have a powerful ending
Just as a good beginning will capture the attention of your audience, a good ending will ensure they remember the key messages you want to communicate. Here are some tips to make sure they will not forget your presentation.
Return to your opening message -Use the end of your presentation to clearly communicate the most important idea of your talk. Use your final moments to summarise the main points of your presentation, then link to the message you offered at the very beginning of your presentation to bring your argument full circle.
Finish with exactly three key points. Pick three main points to end your presentation. If you’re using a slideshow as part of your presentation, summarize these key points on your last slide.
Question or Give a call to action. You can make sure they remember your key message by actively involving them in the last thing you say. You can do this either by asking them a rhetorical question they can think about after your presentation, or by ending with a specific call to action. Let them know what you’re expecting of them. Don’t forget to communicate key contact information if necessary. Example of questions and for calls to action would be,
