Training log 28.06
Session 33(28th June 8:30-10:00)
Useful language:
Look, watch and see:
- Look is a conscious, active activity, e.g. Have you looked on your desk for your folder? Can you look at this report for me? (vs see – have you seen my report? I’ve lost it.)
- Watch is also conscious and active, but focusses on moving images, e.g. Did you watch the match last night? (vs read – I read about the match in the newspaper)
- See is a less conscious and more passive activity, e.g. I saw him yesterday, but I don’t know where he is now.
Tip: all 3 verbs can appear in active or passive forms – the meaning of “active” and “passive” here refers to the effort you use to do these activities.
