Do you know the following words to talk about technology at your desk?

• Cable – A thick wire used to carry electricity or signals from one device to another.

• Loudspeakers – Devices that make sound louder so people can hear music, voices, or other audio clearly.

• Extension cable / extension lead – A long cable that lets you plug in devices farther away from a wall socket.

• Printer – A machine that prints documents or pictures from a computer onto paper.

• Socket – A wall outlet where you plug in electrical devices to get power.

• Landline – A telephone that is connected by a physical wire, not a mobile network.

• Wi-Fi – Wireless internet that lets devices connect to the internet without cables.

• Mobile phone – A portable phone that can make calls, send messages, and use the internet.

• Headphones – Small speakers worn over or in the ears to listen to sound privately.

• Charger – A device used to put electrical power back into a phone, laptop, or other battery-powered device.
